Simulation patient training program

11 February 2020

A simulation patient training program has been launched at the Department of Languages for Biomedical Purposes and Communication, which aims to improve the terminology and communication skills of the students studying in three different languages of instruction (English, German and Hungarian) at our School.

The colleagues of the Institute would like to make the teaching of obtaining the anamnesis and patient information in pre-clinical and clinical medical language classes even more practically oriented with involving non-professionals.

Between 31 January and 1 February 2020, the Institute organized a lay patient training where they have prepared 13 simulation patients. Lay patients have been trained to shape the specific role of the patient and to properly communicate their feedback to the students. The patients will be involved in the terminology development of Hungarian, German and English students.
