The new theoretical building of the Medical School received the Construction Industry Award

The Construction Industry Award, which was announced for the 25th time in 2022 by the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Constructors’ Masterworks (ÉMA), is the highest recognition of the achievements of the Hungarian construction industry. The award, founded by the National Federation of Hungarian Building Contractors (ÉVOSZ) and the Construction Science Association, was later joined by seven other professional organizations.

The awards were handed over at the annual general assembly and gala of ÉVOSZ on 8 December. The main criteria of the award are the following: an overall architectural and technical assessment of the building, the technical quality and professionalism of the construction, the economic viability and operability of the investment, and the cooperation between the creators of the building, in particular the investors, designers, and contractors.

The new theoretical building of the University of Pécs Medical School has received the award in the Public Building / Education category.

The Construction Industry Award is embodied in a certificate and a bronze plaque, which is displayed on the building with the names of the creators. The plaque will be unveiled in the frame of a ceremony in the spring of 2023.
