On February 20, 2026, the Demonstrator Workshop was held for the seventh time, jointly organised by the Institute of Health Language and Communication and the Demonstrator Student Circle, under the title "On the Road to Clinics." Students and mentors working together to develop medical language and communication skills traditionally hold their English and German methodology programme in the first half of the spring semester, which provides an excellent opportunity for participants to refresh their knowledge and perform their teaching activities more effectively.
Dr Andrea Tamás held the opening ceremony on behalf of the DDK management, and Dr László Czopf, Deputy Dean of Education, on behalf of the faculty management. This year, the focus was on the importance of demonstrator work in clinical practice. Dr Judit Sebők welcomed and motivated the participants on behalf of the clinic. Representing the organising mentors, Anikó Berta welcomed the forum participants. The program moderator and student organiser was Georgia Valentine, a fifth-year demonstrator student, who created a decisive yet supportive and friendly atmosphere throughout the program. More than 80 students attended the event and listened to rich and inspiring presentations across three thematic sections. The English and German language and terminology sections each offered six colourful, interactive workshops that raised the program's standards through their varied approaches and practice-oriented focus. The German language section was moderated by Dóra Orbán fourth-year demonstrator student, and the terminology section by Zsuzsanna Takács, preparatory mentor. The participating demonstrators shared their proven teaching methods, innovative practices, and recent experiences with each other, promoting the flow of knowledge within the community. By the end of the workshop, a lively, enjoyable, and professionally substantive discussion had developed, focusing on methodological issues and modern, interactive teaching approaches.
The workshop ended with a pizza buffet courtesy of the DDK management.
