He added that during the pandemic caused by the coronavirus, the role of medical universities is becoming more and more significant, their participation in the treatment of patients at the clinics and in the research and development of possible treatments and therapies is essential. During these difficult times, Hungarian universities are also doing well in the fields of health and innovation.

The government aims to develop a higher education system that is striving to become world-class and can meet the challenges of our times and the expectations of the economy and society. By raising the educational standard of Hungarian universities and building a quality training infrastructure, Hungary can become a regional knowledge centre.
