In the frame of our newly launched Erasmus+ IDEAL (2021-2-AT01-KA220-VET-000049281) project, which aims to bridge the gap between recognized language skill deficits of the healthcare sector and current training methods, the University of Pécs is about to start shooting short language learning videos between patients and nurses.
They will be 2-5 minute long learning videos and will be used as part of an innovative online language learning approach. The ten conversations cover real-life situations and themes such as medication, introduction of hospital departments, informing the patients about preoperative issues, foot care advice for diabetics, etc.
The videos, as well as an interactive glossary will be available free of charge in German, Slovakian and Hungarian after the project ends in 2024.
