Course registration in Neptun

  • only those students can register subjects who:
  • do not have any „active” debts
  • set their status to active in the given semester
  • completed the prerequisites of the given subject(s) (or registered the parallel prerequisite(s))
  • can still have a place based on the headcount limit of the course
  • before you log in to Neptun please allow the use of pop-up windows in your browser
  • please pay prompt attention to your Neptun messages in order to get every neccessary information
  • Subjects » Register for subject: Terms = 20../../1 or 2, Subjects from curriculum »List subjects
    • in the row of the chosen subject click on „Register”, then choose the course(s) of the subject in the pop-up window
    • you always have to choose the subject first and then the courses of the subject (it is important to choose one of all course types within the subject, except in case you register the subject as an exam course – in this case choose only the exam course type)
    • you have to register all the obligatory subjects and criterion requirements recommended for the given semester (except in case you „completed” them through recognition of your previous studies (credit transfer))
    • registration of elective and optional subjects is not compulsory
    • information on the actually offered elective and optional subjects (groups, headcount limits, time and place)  will be published in Neptun
    • the course director may decide that they negotiate with the students about the time of the course in the form of a meeting in the first three days of the instruction period. The time of this meeting will be available under Taken courses – Basic data – Description.
    • if the agreed time of the course is not suitable for you, you can still drop the course in the first week of instruction period and choose another one
    • dropping elective and optional subjects is possible only until midnight of the third day of the instruction period, after that only registration is possible
    • choose a Physical Education course as well (in case you already completed the obligatory four PE courses you can still the take the 5th PE course which is optional)
  • Neptun checks the prerequisites during course registration except the parallel prerequisites – you must pay attention to those!
  • in case of parallel prerequisites register the given subjects one after other in Neptun
  • checking of the registered courses is happening in the 3-4. week of instruction period: if the colleagues of the RO find a course registration  where the parallel prerequisite is missing and there is no late registration request from the students, they automatically delete the invalid course registration
  • if you do not have valid healh aptitude test you will not be able to register those obligatory subjects and courses which required it as a prerequisite
  • IMPORTANT! When you finished, check your subject/course list one more time!
    • checking the student’s course list (having registered every neccessary course, dropped every every unneccessary course, etc.) is the student’s responsibility and has strict deadlines, therefore we suggest to check your course registrations thouroughly even several times during the course registration period and also check the registration of the required parallel prerequisites and the validity of your health aptitude test
